Welcome to the Design-Build Institute of America, Mid-Atlantic Region

The Design-Build Institute of America Mid-Atlantic Region covers the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland and was selected as "DBIA 2010 Region of The Year". One of the truly vibrant and active regions for design-build activity, we offer many activities and events for those interested in learning more about design-build project delivery or advancing its use.

The Future of Construction

Informed owners are asking practitioners to take more than just a one-dimensional  interest in their facilities. Today’s design-build process offers the assurance of cost-effective and coordinated delivery of design and construction services. Only design-build delivers a comprehensive program with a “single point” of responsibility. Design-builders accept full accountability for architecture, engineering and construction. In fact, they insist on it. By knowledgeably pursuing design quality and effectively controlling costs and schedule, a design-builder ensures realization of concept-to-completion goals.
